GLENFARG FOLK CLUB OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT 2011
The club’s annual golf tournament took place at Milnathort Golf Club on a fine evening on 1st September. The plucky competitors – a mix of younger and older, lads and lassies, regular and occasional players – gave their all as they attempted to overcome the joint challenges posed by the course and each other, while naturally doing their best to maintain the expected standards of mutual respect and sportsmanship.
After a hard fought contest Hamish Grant (not for the first time) emerged as the worthy winner. Runner up was Sandy McInnes, while the booby prize was accepted by John Beeson. The golfers were joined by several other club members for an excellent meal in the clubhouse. Social Convenor David Aird presented the prizes to the recipients and a pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
